American Toby Jug Museum 

William McKinley toby jug produced by Edwin Bennet Pottery of Baltimore, Maryland, circa 1896. This is a scarce figural toby jug depicting McKinley as he sits on a throne holding a stack of money in his right hand and is pointing at the "McKinley Bill" with his left. The writing on the base includes "Hon. William McKinley" and quotes the McKinley presidential campaign's familiar slogan "Protection and Prosperity" with the date 1896 at the back. Decorated with colors and gilt added to the coins flowing from the cornucopia below his chair on the sides, in his lap he points to the "McKinley Bill" probably referring to the Gold Standard Act he advocated. A blue ribbon forms the handle of the jug.
