Vulture & Python teapot produced by for Minton of Stoke-on-Trent, England, in a 2001 limited edition of 1,000. Featuring two animals high on the food chain, the vulture is a bird of prey that scavenges on carrion and the python is a constricting snake native to the tropics and subtropics of the Eastern Hemisphere. Modeled as a vulture attacking a python, the raptor with white neck and brown plumage with black wing tips, the green and white python with bared fangs. It is a fight to the death resulting in a satisfying meal for the victor. The python's head is the spout of the teapot and his tail forms the handle. This teapot is based on a Minton original design from around 1870.
