Uncle Sam liquor container bald eagle handle - Royal Doulton 1986

Uncle Sam liquor container with a bald eagle handle designed by Graham Tongue and Harry Sales and produced by Royal Doulton of Burslem, England, in 1986 limited edition of 500 for Pick-Kwik Wines & Spirits. Uncle Sam is the jocular name and personage given to the government of the United States. Uncle Sam is often depicted as a tall, thin man having a white beard and wearing a blue tailcoat, red-and-white-striped trousers, and a tall hat with a band of stars. Over the years he has become recognized worldwide as the United States' national symbol. This liquor container features a traditional looking Uncle Sam, brought to life from the recruiting posters of World War II. The handle is a bald eagle.
