Trafalgar Sailor in Pearlware finish produced by Enoch Wood circa 1790. The Trafalgar Sailor is sitting on a sea chest with an emblem and sometimes "Trafalgar" on one side. He is holding a pitcher of ale in his right hand and clay pipe in his left. The sea chest sits atop a knoll and a tree branch forms the handle. The Pearlware finish refers to the final clear glazing that contained cobalt and gave a slight blue coloring to glaze that tended to pool between fingers and in the creases in the face.
