The Piper toby jug produced by Wood Potters of Burslem of Burslem, England, between 1992 and 1996. Pipers traditionally led the Scottish regiments into battle, the bagpipes rousing their spirits and scaring the enemy. Bagpipes were first brought to Scotland from England in the early fifteenth century. They have become Scotland's national instrument.
