The Auctioneer character jug - Royal Doulton 1988

The Auctioneer character jug modeled by Geoff Blower from a design concept by Kevin Pearson and Geof Blower, and produced by Royal Doulton of Burslem, England, in a 1988 special edition of 5,000 for The Collecting World Series by Kevin Francis Ceramics. The auctioneer hammers down his gavel, thus finalizing the sale. The audience excitedly discusses the record price reached while the highest bidder smiles with delight. His new treasure, the highly desirable Leslie Harradine figurine, The Bather, will take a place of honor in his collection. Meanwhile the smartly dressed auctioneer calls for attention. The next lot is announced and the vigorous bidding is resumed. Famed English auctioneer Roger Davis at Knotting was the model for this jug. A Royal Doulton "The Bather" figure and gavel form the handle of the jug.
