Standing Woman majolica toby jug produced by Sharpe Brothers of Swadlincote, England circa 1885. This Standing Woman is the wife of the Standing Toby. She too is wearing the traditional everyday garb of the late 1700s including her long dress, full length apron, and high hat with wimple. . She is holding a foaming pint of her favorite ale in both hands although she is sure to drink less than her husband. The Standing Woman is a pair with the Standing Toby.
