Standing Toby jug version 1 produced by W. H. Goss of Stoke-on-Trent, England, circa 1925. The Standing Toby is a variation of the Ordinary Toby featuring a common man of the time wearing 18th century clothing and a tricorn hat. Instead of being seated, this toper stands upright with a churchwarden pipe in his left hand and a full mug of ale in his right. He is known in several sizes.
