Snowman character jug produced by Riddell Pottery of California circa 1955. A snowman is an anthropomorphic snow sculpture of a man often built in regions with sufficient snowfall and is a common winter tradition. In many places, typical snowmen consist of three large snowballs of different sizes with some additional accoutrements for facial and other features. This Snowman is wearing a black top hat. A red and white striped candy cane forms the handle of the jug. He is a pair with the Lady Snowman character jug.
