Scotsman toby jug designed by Frederick Rhead and produced by Shelley Potteries of Longton, England, circa 1901 in its Intarsio finish. A Scotsman, or Scottie or Scot, is a man who is a native or inhabitant of Scotland. With a set of bagpipes slung over his shoulder, he is dressed in traditional clothing of the 19th century.
