Rugby Champion character jug designed by John Tasker and produced by Small World of Nairn, Highland, Scotland circa 1980 in a limited edition of 5,000. A rugby player is called a rugby player or a rugger. "Rugger" is an informal slang term for rugby or a rugby player. Rugby players need to be fit, fast, and skilled at passing, tackling, and kicking. They also need to be able to work well in a team. This player's team has just won their national championship.
An oval rugby ball and trophy form the handle of the jug.
