Provencal Woman toby jug - Orchies circa 1910

Provencal Woman majolica toby jug produced by Orchies of Orchies, France, circa 1910. This Provencal woman works in a vineyard in the south of France. She is carrying a large basked of today's harvested grapes from the vines to the warehouse. She is proud to be a part of producing some of the finest red wine in all of France. A portion of her basket forms the handle of the jug. Orchies model numbers are a combination of letters and numbers. The letters are an abbreviation for the name of the jug and the number is the size of the jug.
