Pirate character jug produced by Lego in Japan circa 1960. A pirate is a buccaneer of piratical adventurers who raided Spanish colonies and ships along the American coast in the second half of the 17th century. After months at sea, this one-toothed pirate is relaxing at a pub along the coast. The pirate's long cap forms the handle of the jug.
