Peasant Woman figural pitcher produced in Portugal circa 1870. This hard working peasant woman is taking a break from today's chores and resting on a stack of baskets with a tree branch forming the handle of the jug. Her hat comes off to fill and empty the pitcher and is held in place by a piece of twine.
