Oriental with Bird toby jug in a large size produced by Schafer & Vater of Rudolstadt, Germany, circa 1925. Oriental is a term referring to a person from the Far East, whether a mainland Chinese national, a person from one of the many island nations in Asia, or a person native to geographical East Asia or of perceived East Asian race. This man is holding a squawking bird in his lap. His queue, or long braided hair, forms the handle of the jug. The medium size jug stands 5 1/4" tall, the small jug stands 4 1/4" tall, and the miniature size stands 3 3/4" tall.
