Ordinary Toby jug small blue jacket - Devonmoor circa 1950

Ordinary Toby jug in a small size wearing a blue jacket produced by Devonmoor of Devon, England, circa 1950. This Ordinary Toby jug features a common man of the time wearing 18th century clothing and a tricorn hat. He is sitting on a high-backed chair holding a pitcher of ale in his right hand and resting it on his right knee. The initials DRH on the bottom are of the artist, Daisy Rees-Hill, who finished this jug. These were produced as souvenir items for the tourist trade with the names of various English cities written on the front. This jug was sold in Clovelly.
