Ordinary Toby jug holding toby jug - Yorkshire circa 1800

Ordinary Toby jug made in the Yorkshire region of England circa 1800. An unusual feature, this toby is holding a toby jug in his left hand. Yorkshire tobies have some distinct characteristics that may or may not be present in any specific example. These include a six-sided goblet, white tri-corn hat with scalloped edging, sponged underglaze bright colors around the base, painted dots for eyebrows, and a ship's figurehead handle. This is a rare jug.
