Nellie character jug produced by Longton New Art Pottery of Longton, England, circa 1955 using its Kelsboro Ware tradename. Nellie is an outgoing and beautiful young lady. She recently married James and the couple have rented a flat in central London. They are out for a walk on a brisk Sunday afternoon. A scarf forms the handle of the jug. The Nellie character jug is a pair with the James character jug.
