Morris Flexner character jug produced by Koering Pottery of England circa 1950 commissioned by Franklin Watts. Dr. Morris Flexner (1890-1969) was educated a Johns Hopkins around 1912 and known for his pathological drawings. Morris practiced in Lexington, Kentucky, where he raised his family with his wife, Marion. Marion was regarded as one of Louisville's most gracious hostesses and best cooks. An author, she published her fourth cookbook with publisher Franklin Watts in 1949 titled "Out Of Kentucky Kitchens".
