Marriage Day character jug tiny - Brannam circa 1925

Marriage Day character jug in a tiny size produced by Brannam of Devon, England, circa 1925. This curious and comical jug portrays a woman's life on the day of her marriage as one filled with unhappiness. After marriage, however, the jug is turned upside down and the lady's frown turns to a smile as she has a new outlook on life. Conversely, most larger sizes are commonly found with the upside depicting the happy bride and upside down turning to unhappines and frowns.
