Little Red Riding Hood cookie jar produced by Brush Pottery of Zanesville, Ohio, circa 1960. Little Red Riding Hood is a European fairy tale about a young girl and a sly wolf. Its origins can be traced back to several pre-17th century European folk tales. The two best known versions were written by Charles Perrault and the Brothers Grimm. A darling girl, she is on her way to grandma's house walking through the forest. She is carrying a basket of goodies under her left arm with the basket handle forming the handle of the jug. This is a set with a matching character jug.
