Lady Equestrian character jug produced by Mason's of Hanley, England, circa 1985. An equestrian is someone who is involved with horses. It is also an adjective describing anything having to do with horseback riding. An aspiring equestrian may have to give up socializing with friends in favor of equestrian duties like grooming horses. The white ribbon of the lady's hat forms the handle of the jug.
