Jolly Roger character jug - Arthur Wood circa 1935

Jolly Roger character jug produced by Arthur Wood of Stoke-on-Trent, England, circa 1935. Jolly Roger was a vile pirate who operated in the Caribbean. He was an infamous pirate captain with a bad temper and a thirst for power. Whatever happened beneath the weight of his cruel ambition, Jolly Roger would crush anyone in his path to become absolute ruler of the Caribbean by any means. A flintlock pistol forms the handle of the jug. The small Jolly Roger character jug stands 2 3/4" tall.
