Isle of Mann teapot - William Brownfield circa 1870

Isle of Mann Manx majolica teapot produced by William Brownfield circa 1870. The teapot feature a three-legged sailor sitting atop a coil of rope. He holds a flag which forms the handle of the teapot and one of his feet forms the spout. This teapot was produced for the china and glass retailer William Broughton located at 50 Duke Street in Douglas on the Isle of Mann and is marked with Broughton's name.
