Indian character jug - Crown Clarence circa 1960

Indian character jug produced by the Co-operative Wholesale Society Longton, England, under its Crown Clarence tradename circa 1960. Typically indigenous peoples of Canada and United States, Native American Indians are members of any of the aboriginal peoples of the Western Hemisphere, although the term often connotes only those groups whose original territories were in present-day Canada and the United States. The tail of his headdress forms the handle of the jug. The Indian character jug was produced from Westminster Pottery molds.
