Haymaker thimble - Tony Wood Studio 1987

Haymaker thimble produced by Tony Wood Studio of Fenton, England, in 1987 for Scotland Direct. A haymaker is a farm worker who harvests grasses and dries them for animal feed. After cutting, drying, and curing, the haymaker bales the hay, rolling it into bundles that can easily be moved and stored. The plaque on the rear of the thimble has the artist's initials and year of production.
