Hands in Pockets Toby jug black white - Wood & Sons circa 1985

Hands in Pockets Toby jug wearing a black and white jacket, and produced by Wood & Sons of Burslem, England, circa 1985. Dressed in clothing typical of the late 1700s complete with a tri-corn hat, the Hands in Pockets toby jug is a variation of the Standing Toby jug, only with his hands thrust in his vest pockets rather than holding an overflowing mug of ale. Note also the impressed HJ Wood mark indicating this model was designed at HJ Wood before making its way to Wood & Sons.
