Hamlet Prince of Denmark pitcher designed by Albert Hallam, Arthur Gredington and Mr. Orwell, and produced by Beswick of Longton, England, circa 1955. "The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark" is a tragedy written by William Shakespeare around 1600. Set in Denmark, the play depicts Prince Hamlet and his attempts to exact revenge against his uncle, Claudius, who has murdered Hamlet's father in order to seize his throne and marry Hamlet's mother. The pitcher depicts the scene where Hamlet meets his father's ghost.
