Gurgling Fish toby jug version 1 produced by Dartmouth Pottery of Devon, England, circa 1950. This jug is called a Gurgling Fish jug because of the sound it makes when water is poured out of the jug. The fish's tail lifts up to form the handle of the jug. Due to its fragile tail and poor body orientation, this jug was quickly replaced with a second version.
