Gurgling Cod toby jug produced by Dartmouth Pottery of Devon, England, circa 1950. This jug is called a Gurgling Cod jug because of the sound it makes when water is poured out of the jug. The fish's tail lifts up to form the handle of the jug. This jug was made for Shreve, Crump & Low of Boston, Massachusetts.
