Grumpy character jug produced in Indonesia for Applause of Woodland Hills, California, circa 1990. Grumpy is one of the Seven Dwarfs, fictional dwarfs in the 1812 fairy tale "Snow White" by the Brothers Grimm and other renditions and adaptations.
Grumpy initially opposes Snow White's presence in the dwarfs' home, but later warns her of the threat posed by the Queen and eagerly rushes to her aid upon realizing that she is in danger, leading the charge himself. He has the biggest nose of the dwarfs and is the slimmest of the seven, and is frequently seen with one eye shut or with a frown. The long tail of Grumpy's hat forms the handle of the jug.
