Gramp character jug - Crown Clarence circa 1960

Gramp character jug produced by the Co-operative Wholesale Society Longton, England, under its Crown Clarence tradename circa 1960. Grandpa, called Gramp by his grandchildren, is now retired after working for decades in the local factory. His days are now filled with long walks through the countryside, doting on his loving wife of over fifty years, and playing with his grandchildren when they visit from the city. A cane forms the handle of the jug. The Gramp character jug was produced from Westminster Pottery molds.
