Frog with Head Down majolica toby jug produced by Fives-Lille circa 1910. This frog is all dressed up and holding his pipe in his left hand. Cattails form the handle of the jug. This is the first version of the frog pitcher but the head position created difficulties during production so it was redesigned. Many colorways of the frog can be found photos from the collection of Jean-Pierre Ducasse.
