Fish teapot produced by Minton of Stoke-on-Trent, England, in a 1996 limited edition of 2,500. A large blue fish native to both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, this happy fellow is swimming near the shore feasting on smaller fish and seaweed that he finds there. This teapot is based on a Minton original design from around 1870. The fish's spiky dorsal fin is the removable lid. The spout is a reed issuing from his mouth and the seaweed handle rises from a bed of waves at the base.
