Elvis figurine - Bairstow Manor Pottery 2005

Elvis figurine produced by Bairstow Manor Pottery of Hanley, England, in a 2005 limited edition of 250. Elvis Aaron Presley (1935-1977) was an American singer and actor. Dubbed the "King of Rock and Roll", he is regarded as one of the most significant cultural figures of the 20th century. His energized interpretations of songs and sexually provocative performance style, combined with a singularly potent mix of influences across color lines during a transformative era in race relations, led him to both great success and initial controversy. Proclaiming the King is Back, this figurine was created in association with Dave Tomlin and was modeled by Ray Noble. It depicts a young Elvis holding a guitar and performing for an audience.
