Elizabeth II Coronation figural pitcher - Burgess & Leigh 1953

Elizabeth II Coronation figural pitcher modeled by Ernest T. Bailey and produced by Burgess & Leigh of Burslem, England, in 1953 to commemorate the coronation of Elizabeth II. Queen Elizabeth II, born Elizabeth Alexandra Mary, (1926-2022) was Queen of the United Kingdom and other Commonwealth realms from February 6, 1952 until her death in 2022. She was queen reagent of 32 sovereign states during her lifetime, 15 of them at the time of her death. Her reign of 70 years and 214 days was the longest of any British monarch and the longest verified reign of any female monarch in history. Although she faced occasional republican sentiment and media criticism of her family, support for the monarchy in the United Kingdom remained consistently high throughout her lifetime, as did her personal popularity.
