Elf toby jug - Boston Warehouse circa 2000

Elf toby jug produced by Boston Warehouse of Boston, Massachusetts, circa 2000. Fairy people were called elves in ancient Scandinavia and were believed in long after the coming of Christianity. Mischievous, elves are quite playful and have magical powers. Elves' activities include shoemaking and making children sleepy by sprinkling sand in their eyes. And, as the resident fairies of the North Pole, they are indispensable helpers that Santa Claus could not do without in preparing for his annual Christmas Eve journey. The long green tail of the elf's hat forms the handle of the jug.
