Donkey toby jug - Macedo circa 1900

Donkey majolica toby jug produced by Macedo Pottery of northern Portugal circa 1900. This donkey has reared up on his hind legs and is expressing his displeasure to the poor young stable boy. The ears of the donkey are removeable to fill the pitcher and his tail forms the handle of the pitcher.
