American Toby Jug Museum 

Daniel Lambert Royal Jade Squat Toby large size jug produced by Copeland Spode circa 1910 model number 9189. The Daniel Lambert jug is named as such by the factory and is commonly called a Squat Toby jug. A Squat Toby is an Ordinary Toby seated on the ground with his left leg resting on the ground and right leg propped up. This is decorated with the factory's Royal Jade finish. The Copeland Spode mark was used from 1891 into the 20th century.
