Customs Man character jug - Koessinger 1986

Customs Man character jug produced by Koessinger of Schierling, Germany, in a 1986 limited edition for the Pressath hiking club, or Wanderfreunde, as an award to members of the club. The customs man is a law enforcement agent who enforces customs laws on behalf of a government. Customs officers work at a country's borders to protect the country from the importation of illegal substances, firearms and dangerous items. They also operate within ports, collecting duties on goods and endeavoring to prevent evasion of duties. This jug is based on a Magrou character jug in a larger size.
