Chef character jug produced in Japan for National Potteries of Cleveland, Ohio, circa 1960. This private chef is responsible for planning, shopping for, and preparing all meals served at the manor where he is employed, including special events and parties. He works closely with the Lady of the Manor for meal planning and selecting event menus. The Chef's left arm forms the handle of the character jug.
