Bull toby jug - National Potteries circa 1970

Bull toby jug produced in Japan for National Potteries of Cleveland, Ohio, circa 1970. A bull is a large, domesticated, cloven-hooved, male herbivore.
They are a prominent modern member of the subfamily Bovinae and the most widespread species of the genus Bos. Cattle are commonly raised as livestock for meat, milk, and for hides, which are used to make leather. Note the hand decorated gilding that highlights this bull toby jug. The bull's tail curls up to form the handle of the jug.
