Bones face pot flambé - Kevin Francis 2006

Bones face pot produced in a flambé colorway by Kevin Francis Ceramics of Stoke-on-Trent, England, in a 2006 limited edition of 75. Animated skeletons are eerily symbolic reminders of the otherworld, death, and human mortality. Bones is holding a package for some fortunate, or unfortunate, mortal. Bones' face pot quote, "Let's shake, rattle and roll!", are lyrics from the song "Shake, Rattle and Roll" written in 1954 by Jesse Stone and made famous by Bill Haley & His Comets that same year. The song is ostensibly about dancing and having a good time with a lot of sexual overtones, these lyrics especially appropriate for a dancing stack of bones.
