Blue Whale toby jug produced in China for Nantucket Pottery of Nantucket, Massachusetts, circa 2000. The blue whale is a marine mammal and a baleen whale. Reaching a maximum confirmed length of 100 feet and weighing up to 200 tons, it is the largest animal known ever to have existed. The blue whale's long and slender body can be of various shades of greyish blue dorsally and somewhat lighter underneath. The blue whale's tail curls up to form the handle of the jug.
