Big Chief character jug produced by Jon Anton of Longton, England, between 1971 and 1975. Typically indigenous peoples of Canada and United States, Native American Indians are members of any of the aboriginal peoples of the Western Hemisphere, although the term often connotes only those groups whose original territories were in present-day Canada and the United States. The tail of his headdress forms the handle of the jug. The Big Chief character jug was produced from Westminster Pottery molds.
