Balloon Seller toby jug tiny size produced in Japan circa 1970. The Balloon Seller could often be found wandering the streets of nineteenth century London selling balloons to passersby. One of many street vendors vying for Londoners' coins, they would shout "Balloons for sale!" at the bustling throng. With their bright array of colors, the balloon street sellers became magnets for every boy and girl, as well as often for their parents. Nothing can compete with the delight of the Victorian street urchin who was fortunate enough to grasp the string of his first balloon handed to him by the Balloon Seller.
