Bald Eagle face pot - Kevin Francis circa 2003

Bald Eagle face pot modeled by Andy Moss and produced by Kevin Francis Ceramics of Stoke-on-Trent, England, circa 2003. The bald eagle is a bird of prey found in North America. Its range includes most of Canada and Alaska, all of the contiguous United States, and northern Mexico. It is found near large bodies of open water with an abundant food supply and old-growth trees for nesting. The bald eagle is the national bird, and a national symbol, of the United States of America and appears on its seal. The quote "United We Stand" inside the face pot is a phrase used in many different kinds of mottos to inspire unity and collaboration. Its core concept lies in the collectivist notion that if individual members of a certain group with binding ideals work on their own instead of as a team, they are each doomed to fail. Use of this motto in the United States dates back to the Founding Fathers and the 1770s.
