Bagpiper character jug produced by Sculptures UK of England circa 1990. Bagpipers are expert musicians who are skilling in the playing of the bagpipes. Bagpipes are a woodwind instrument using enclosed reeds fed from a constant reservoir of air in the form of a bag. The Great Highland bagpipes are well known, but people have played bagpipes for centuries throughout large parts of Europe, Northern Africa, Western Asia, and northern parts of South Asia. One of the bagpipe's pipes forms the handle of the jug.
