Bagpiper character jug musical - Japan circa 1980

Bagpiper character jug produced in Japan circa 1980. Bagpipers are expert musicians who are skilling in the playing of the bagpipes. Bagpipes are a woodwind instrument using enclosed reeds fed from a constant reservoir of air in the form of a bag. The Great Highland bagpipes are well known, but people have played bagpipes for centuries throughout large parts of Europe, Northern Africa, Western Asia, and northern parts of South Asia. A musical movement is incorporated into the base of the jug.
