Ariel face pot modeled by Andy Moss and produced by Kevin Francis Ceramics of Stoke-on-Trent, England, circa 2001. Princess Ariel is the titular protagonist of Disney's 1989 animated feature film "The Little Mermaid". She is the seventh and youngest daughter of King Triton and Queen Athena, rulers of the undersea kingdom of Atlantica. Ariel lived through much of her young life with a passionate, yet forbidden, admiration of the human world and longed to someday experience life on the surface. Ariel's face pot quote of "Beware the Siren's Song" has been a warning to sailors since the days of Odysseus, who was so worried about the allure of the siren's song, he put wax in his shipmates' ears and had himself tied to his ship's mast. "No Siren Did Ever So Charm The Ear Of The Listener, As The Listening Ear Has Charmed The Soul Of The Siren." -Henry Taylor
